Acid Resistant Castable In Detail: Importance,Uses & More

Acid Resistant Castable is a granular and powder substance manufactured with a certain amount of binding agent applied to fire-resistant materials. Acid Resistant Castable has a high liquid content and is ideal for pouring unshaped refractory materials. Acid Resistant Castable offers a wide range of properties, including high temperature resistance, high hardness, and excellent acid erosion resistance, making it ideal for use in a variety of furnaces and kilns.

What Is Acid Resistant Castable?

Acid resistant castable, also known as refractory castable, is a refractory material that can withstand acid erosion and is extensively used in non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, chimneys, and other applications.

Acid resistant refractory castable has a larger quantity of binding agent and moisture, as well as better fluidity, as compared to other unshaped refractory. Unshaped refractory has a wide range of applications and can be applied by pouring or ramming, depending on the materials utilized and the binding agent employed.

With a density of 1.381.42g/cm3, the acid resistant castable is made up of 60 percent 70 percent acid-resistant aggregate, 30 percent 40 percent powder, and 13 percent -16 percent sodium silicate solution.

Whenever the agent is introduced, the quantity of refractory material that is 10% to 12% of the mass of the sodium silicate solution and resists acidic medium corrosion at 800 to 1200 ° C is referred to as an acid-resistant castable.

Acid resistant castable is composed comprised of a tiny quantity of accelerator, liquid instant powdered sodium silicate as a binder, acid or plate acid refractory as aggregates and powder, and acid or plate acid refractory as texture and powder. Alkali, hot phosphoric acid, and high fat are not resistant to acid castables.

Applications of Resistant Castable

Acid resistant refractory castable, like the majority of amorphous materials, has the common feature of direct usage without fire. The manufacturing method is generally easy, no special equipment is necessary, a high degree of automation is required, construction is the most convenient, and material utilization rate is high amongst various amorphous materials.

Furthermore, acid resistant castable manufacturing has a stronger strength at room temperature and may be manufactured into prefabricated pieces for kiln installation, such as chimney liner pouring.

Acid proof castable is mostly used in metalworking industrial kilns, but it is also found in petroleum, chemical, building materials, electric power, mechanical kilns, and thermal equipment.

Manufacturer of Acid Resistant Castable

The procedure of making acid resistant castables is easy and does not require any additional equipment. Acid resistant castable is of excellent mechanical performance and stiffness. It is simple to make using the pouring method.

Without burning, acid resistant castables can be utilized directly in engineering. Acid resistant refractory castable, which can withstand acid medium corrosion at temperatures ranging from 800 to 1200 degrees Celsius, is known as refractory acid resistant castable.
